Oct 4 – Shawn Moore is the pastor of the Beloved Community, a professor of reconciliation and anthropology, and passionate about community.Â A man of many talents, Shawn is a krav maga instructor, wearer of kilts, and former police officer.Â He is a church planter in the process of forming an intentionally diverse community that fully reflects the Gospel, engaging in intentional community development.
Oct 11 – Jeffry Martin is the Deputy Director, Office of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity at City of Saint Paul.Â Jeffry is the former President of St. Paul’s NAACP Chapter, holds a law degree and a seminary degree, and lives in the Highland Park neighborhood.Â He has been an advocate for justice in St. Paul and beyond for most of his career.
Oct 25 – Tyler Sit is a lover of Minnesota, a United Methodist pastor, and the son of a Chinese immigrant. Â His parents met at a disco dancing class, which he feels set the tone pretty well for the rest of his life. Â He has been an environmental justice advocate since his Cub Scout days (though he didn’t know it yet). Â Tyler has witnessed and lived among religious communities around the globe: indigenous communities in Ecuador, Jewish and Palestinian communities in Israel, Methodist missions in Zimbabwe, and–most recently–the Dalai Lama’s Tibetan Buddhist settlement in Northern India.
Nov 1 – Dan Collison is Senior Pastor of First Covenant Church, Minneapolis, a Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research Fellow, the Director of Downtown Partnerships for the Minneapolis Downtown Council-Downtown Improvement District and the Executive Director for the East Town Partnership and the 2020 Partners in Downtown Minneapolis. He received a Doctoral degree in Ministry from Fuller Seminary (CA), a Master’s degree in Divinity from Bethel Seminary (MN), and a Bachelor’s degree from The Eastman School of Music (NY). Before becoming a pastor and civic leader, Dan and his wife, Holly ran an adult foster care home for men with developmental disabilities in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
