Wednesday Adult Learning
Our Wednesday Learning series over Lent will look a little different. We will gather for a brief time of meditation and scripture reading and then be dismissed into “mini-covenant discipleship groups” for a time of intentional discipleship. These covenant discipleship groups will not take the place of other covenant discipleship groups that meet, and anyone can join at any time. Each week groups will receive instruction to help guide conversations centered on that week’s sermon topic. 40 Days of “walking” together.
Lent Bible Reading Collective: 40 Readings. 40 Commitments. 40 Days. Throughout Lent, we will worship together. We will meet together. And we will read together. As a community we will read the whole Bible in 40 days. No one individual will read the whole Bible, but as individuals, couples, families, sign up for a section of the Bible to read over Lent. Collectively, we will have read the entire Bible in 40 days. As an act of worship, discipline, and inspiration, we will share what we discern. In an interactive display in the Wesley Room or participate online.
Labyrinth- The Labyrinth is a symbolic walk and meditation tool that draws the sojourner into the center, out to the edges, then back to the center again; all the while carrying a centering question or prayer. In this labyrinth, as you enter, you are invited to write your question or prayer, carry it as you journey, then tuck it under the stones or between the stones, to remain under the cross for the remainder of the Lenten season. There is a small ‘hand labyrinth’ located in the bowl at the front of the labyrinth for people who are not comfortable walking the labyrinth.
Join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:30—7:30 in the sanctuary.
