Parish Nurse

Parish Nurse

Parish Nursing is an old concept set in the present time. Its roots are based on Jesus? ministry of teaching, preaching, and healing.

The purpose of the Fairmount Ave. UMC Parish Nurse Program is to promote physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual health in the congregation and community. This is accomplished thru health education, health screening, health counseling, promoting safety, providing resources and referrals, being an advocate, coordinating volunteers, providing presence and prayers. Over all – Promoting an Integration of faith and health issues.

Blood pressures checks are offered in the Susanna Room on the first Sunday of the month from 10:00 – 10:30 am and following the worship service. If you would like to talk to the parish nurse, or a have your blood pressure checked at another time, call the church office at 651-699-1335 and leave a message for the nurse to call you.
